We’ve been teaching fellow craft enthusiasts how to make ragged wares in London, Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire & Surrey for the past two years now (wow, doesn’t time just fly!) Here you will find a list of our latest rag rug workshops.

INTRODUCTORY RAG RUG CLASS: 

In this half day workshop students learn all the rag rug basics – how to use the rag rug equipment, how to select and prepare materials and how to do the two types of rag rugging (loopy and shaggy). You will be provided with all the materials you need on the day (including a latch hook to take home) and have the option to start either a framed piece of rag rug art, cushion, letter or wreath during the class. All our classes are friendly, informal and involve plenty of tea and biscuits. Our introductory class is a nice way to dip your toe into rag rugging and meet some like-minded people.

RAG RUG MASTERCLASSES: £70

After taking our rag rug masterclass you will have all the skills to be able to start any rag rug project for yourself at home – hooray! During the session you will get the opportunity to begin either a cushion or rug (depending on how ambitious you’re feeling). With plenty of 1-2-1 help throughout the day you will learn how to use the rag rug equipment, how to work with hessian, how to choose and prepare materials, how to do the two different types of rag rugging (loopy and shaggy) and how to finish your work. We ask that you bring a packed lunch with you on the day but all the rag rug materials are available so no need to source your own. You even get a latch hook to take home with you!
