Happy New Year from all of us here at Ragged Life! I absolutely love New Year’s Day, and I bet there are a few of you out there who feel exactly the same way. Even though the weather is often cold and dreary, and I’m generally feeling the effects of mountains of Christmas food and …
Craft Storage Makeover – Our Wonderful Wall of Wool!
Us crafters aren’t exactly known for our minimalist living. I’m always saving and rescuing scraps of fabric, beautiful buttons or zips because I just know that they’ll come in handy… some day 🙂 Plus, it helps that you can use just about any old scrap of fabric to rag rug with! With your average crafter, …

Knit & Stitch in York: I’ve been running rag rug workshops in York for the past four years now. Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun 🙂 Originally, our classes took place at The York Makery on Gillygate, but now we have a new lovely venue to write home about… Knit & Stitch! Now, that …
Rag Rug Coffee Morning in Hertfordshire
Our fortnightly rag rug coffee morning in Hertfordshire is something I really look forward to every month. It’s a lovely way to spend a couple of hours chatting with other rag ruggers, getting advice and feedback on your latest rag rug project, and of course having a nice cuppa and a biscuit or two! When …

An Inside Look at the Mollie Makes Handmade Awards 2019
As many of you Ragged Life followers know, I’m a HUGE HUGE fan of Mollie Makes magazine. The projects they feature are exactly my cup of tea. In fact, earlier this year they even featured my Berber style rag rug, so you know they have good taste 🙂 Well, a few weeks ago, I eeeked …
How to Make a Rag Rug Cushion
Since I made my first inaugural rag rug outfit back in 2004, I’ve made many many rag rug cushions. What’s more, since founding Ragged Life in 2014, I’ve taught hundreds of people how to rag rug cushions in my workshops. All in all, they’re a project I feel pretty confident with, so I thought I’d …
