So those of you who know your stuff will catch me out on this one and quite rightly point out that Chelsea Flower Show was a whopping three months ago but I was browsing through my photos earlier and thought what wonderful inspiration these photos could be. As the weather is so lovely today (yay, please hold on Summer) I think we can just about get away with it.

As amateur gardeners and lovers of colour, Kate and I had always wanted to go to the Chelsea Flower Show but hadn’t got round to it until this year. And boy were we in for a treat! Even though the weather chucked everything it had at us (and we ended up donning plastic transparent sacks over our carefully planned outfits) the gorgeous gardens and flowers were well worth getting a little damp.

Particular highlights were the prize-winning daffodils (who knew there were so many types), luscious lupins and comedy Boris Johnson gorilla (whoever named that art piece deserves a prize). Below are some of our favourite photos from the day and we hope you find them as inspiring as we did!
