Although this rug took quite a while to make, it’s still one of my favourites. I love the way the blues complement the coral and I find the symmetry quite soothing. I’ve often been asked how I start my rug designs and normally I recommend beginning with a border to frame the piece. This rug was different – the design grew organically from the centre, and as you can see from my photos I didn’t have a prescriptive pattern to follow.
